At Rainbow Leaders  (herein referred to as RBL) your privacy is important to us. We respect your right to privacy and confidentiality of personal information whilst performing our non-profit duties. This Privacy Policy describes our policies and procedures on the collection, use and disclosure of your information when you use our services and tells you about your privacy rights and how the law protects you.

RBL may change this Privacy Policy from time to time as required by the law or business requirements.

Purpose of Information Collection

RBL is an independent, a-political NGO that is on a drive to make a difference and increase youth participation in democracy. wants to change this status quo encouraging young South Africans to take up their civic duty and strengthen democracy

  • RBL is committed to empowering youth to believe that they can be a force for economic and social change if they vote, choose responsible leaders, and hold them to account
  • Through campaigns RBL wants to ignite/inspire/ motivate the “change activation” desire amongst youth.

RBL requires access to your personal information for encouraging voter turnout in South Africa’s election.

How info is collected

RBL will mostly likely collect information from you and other third parties where you would have provided your consent to do so. Personal information may be collected from but not limited to the following means:

  1. Contact through our website, email, phone
  2. Participation in our schools activation campaign and opt-in response to that and competitions for RBL ambassadors 
  3. Any RBL forms or information collection processes

Retention of your personal data

RBL will retain your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and use your Personal Data to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations.

We will also retain Usage Data for internal analysis purposes. Usage Data is generally retained for a shorter period of time, except when this data is used to strengthen the security or to improve the functionality of Our Service, or We are legally obligated to retain this data for longer time periods.
